Sarah
registered Provisional Psychologist
Teen Therapist
Hello!
My name is Sarah, and I am a Registered Provisional Pyschologist. I have completed by Master’s in Counselling from City University. My previous experience includes working with kids, teens, and parents in schools and community agencies. My goal is to create an environment where you feel valued, safe, and empowered to explore whatever is on your mind. You are in the driver’s seat!
My philosophy is to approach mental health from a holistic perspective, including the mind, body, environment, social context, and culture in which an individual situates themselves. I also believe that therapy should be a collaborative process in which both the therapist and client are actively involved. There are many elements that make up who we are, and I believe that all of these contribute to our strengths and challenges. I welcome individuals from all cultures, genders, and sexual identities.
The areas I work in include friend and family relationships, ADHD, conflict resolution and problem solving, anxiety, depression, and body image.
When I am not at Thrive, I love spending time with my dog, Reggie. You can also find me playing volleyball and tennis with my friends. I’m a big supporter of the arts scene and love to enjoy local entertainment. I also love listening to music and reading a good book!
I am excited to join you on your therapeutic journey!
Sarah
