Registered CLINICAL COUNSELlor

Hello! My name is Samantha, and I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who works with teens and young adults navigating some of the most important—and often overwhelming—transitions in life.

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I support youth who are struggling with anxiety, low mood, trauma, self-esteem, school stress, and relationship or family challenges. I care deeply about creating a space where young people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to offer a calm and safe environment where clients can explore their emotions, build coping skills, and grow into a stronger sense of themselves. I believe in whole-person care—honouring each teen’s experiences, strengths, and pace—while walking alongside them through challenges, change, and healing.

My practice is flexible and tailored to the unique needs of each client. With teens, I often support concerns around anxiety, emotional regulation, self-image, school pressures, family conflict, and trauma. With young adults, my work focuses on life transitions, identity development, stress management, boundaries, and navigating new independence. I also work collaboratively with families to strengthen communication, understanding, and connection.

My background includes experience in non-profit, private practice and community-based settings, working with diverse youth and adults using modalities such as animal-assisted therapy, CBT, mindfulness, somatic strategies, narrative therapy, and nature-based grounding techniques. My work is always trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate, and client-centred.

I believe that movement is medicine, so I enjoy dancing, running, hiking, and yoga. I also love spending time with my animals, reading, and finding small moments of calm in nature. These experiences keep me grounded and help me bring warmth, presence, and authenticity into my sessions I look forward to supporting you or your teen on this journey toward growth, resilience, and self-understanding.
