Registered CLINICAL COUNSELlor
Hi, I’m Jen! I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor, with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. I have 15 years of experience working with children, teens and families as a counsellor, a behaviour consultant, in education as a teacher, and an early childhood educator.
I believe our relationships, physiological needs, experiences and environments are all interrelated and impact our ability to cope. I work from a person-centered, trauma informed attachment lens, and really take into account the nervous system and how it impacts our quality of life. I have years of experience working with neurodivergent children, teens, and families.
Through a genuine, empathetic and nurturing approach, which could include play, games and nervous system regulation activities, I focus on building a trusting, warm and safe therapeutic relationship. I want clients to feel comfortable so they can create change in their lives. Outside of work I love reading, going to concerts, spending time with my dog and two cats and taking care of my plants!
I look forward to meeting you!
Jenn
