mental health therapist

Reduced Rate teen therapist

Hi, I’m Danielle. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am passionate about supporting young people through life’s ups and downs and creating a space where teens and young adults feel safe, heard, and empowered to be themselves.

I love working with adolescents and young adults because of their honesty, resilience, and the unique perspectives they bring to therapy. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, emotionally stuck, struggling with relationships or self-esteem, or simply trying to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while tailoring sessions to each person’s unique needs and goals. I also incorporate creative interventions — including art, storytelling, games, and role-play elements inspired by TTRPG’s like Dungeons & Dragons — to help therapy feel engaging, meaningful, and approachable.

A large part of my work focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals with building self-understanding, emotional regulation skills, self-compassion, and strategies that work with their brains rather than against them. I frequently support clients navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, identity exploration, emotional regulation challenges, social stressors, and the pressures that often come with school, relationships, and growing up.

Outside of therapy, I’m a creative person at heart and love anything involving art, storytelling, and fantasy worlds. You’ll often find me playing D&D, sketching, binge-watching a new series, reading, or exploring new recipes and travel destinations. I find a lot of inspiration in creativity, curiosity, and experiencing different cultures and perspectives.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a team effort and when clients feel empowered as the experts in their own lives. My role is to help make sense of difficult moments, offer practical tools and support, and create a space where growth and change feel possible.

Looking forward to connecting,

Danielle
