Brad

Mental Health Therapist

Hello,

My name is Brad, and I have worked with youth and families in Strathcona County since 2006—starting as a Family School Liaison supporting school-aged youth experiencing problems which impacted their academic achievement and well-being. I have also worked as a counsellor, providing services to high-risk youth and adults, primarily in individual settings. I have also supported a walk-in counselling service which works on a single-session, solution-focused model.

I have an additional four years’ experience working as a volunteer crisis counsellor through Edmonton’s Support Network, and a cumulative nineteen years of experience working in the mental health field.

I work one-on-one with participants and/or with their families to help them identify and achieve their goals, as well as support their emotional wellbeing. Frequent focus’ of mine include community attachment, negative peer group influences, family conflict, substance use, and academic struggles.

I value relationship, connection, and personal meaning, and strives to understand what is important to each client I see in order to better support their well-being and personal growth.
